Kimchi and Chips: Halo

Installation in the courtyard of Somerset House by Kimchi and Chips.

I’m afraid I didn’t get this. In theory, when the sun shone, 99 calibrated mirrors formed a halo of light in a cloud of mist. However I went on a rather overcast days (yes we have had some this summer) and all I could see was a rather ugly frame and a lot of mist. I wish I’d had a chance to go back and give it another chance but I’m afraid on the day I went I had “Emperor’s New Clothes” thoughts and ended up with “The King was in the altogether” on the brain for the rest of the day.
