Sebastian Errazuriz: Anything you Destroy, We Will Rebuild
Fun exhibition at the David Gill Gallery of new work by Sebastian Errazuriz. The work was a blend of art and furniture using marble composite casts of classical works to create everyday objects such as lamps and shelves. I loved a tall metal unit with a sculpture of Nike in the centre and a low unit with the shelves held up by classical heads. There was a lovely set of patinated bronze candlesticks based on classical sculptures.. Some had had candles burned in them and the melted had merged with the drapery of the figures.
