Anthony Fry: A Memorial Exhibition
Charming exhibition at Browse & Darby of work by Anthony Fry shown as a memorial exhibition. Most of the pictures were from his travels in India but a few of the earlier ones were from European trips. The whole thing had o great sense of colour with the predominance of a Hockneyesque blue and salmon pink. I liked “Nude on a Red Indian Bed” where the bed created a red frame around the figure but my favourite was of marble fruit in front of shutters, a lovely still life in pastel shades.
