A New Paradise

Interesting exhibition at Saatchi Gallery of work by artists currently working in London.

The works had been chosen around a theme of an idyllic world acknowledging that we all have a different idea of what that might be.

Interestingly two artists had pieces made of patchwork. Jahnavl Innies had a long banner “Black History 1729-1875” listing significant black  figures from that period which did lead me to Google in front of it. La Tosha Monique had made a flag.

My favourite pieces were the portraits of his friends by Wesley George showing them against bright backgrounds.
