Albert Irvin : Brought to Light, The Unseen Watercolours

Interesting exhibition in the Sir High Casson Friends’ Room at the Royal Academy of watercolours by the late Albert Irvin.

This was a selling exhibition of bright, abstract works. I found myself seeing form in them such as rain falling on a sea. I loved one with large yellow blobs of paint.

It struck me that you don’t often see abstract watercolours or see that paint format used to create such bright colours.
