Spazio di Luce
Interesting work
by Giuseppe Penone at the Whitechapel Gallery shown with a small changing
exhibition about his work.
The piece itself
was a long thin hollowed out tree trunk cut into sections and lined in gold. It
was interesting to look through the knot holes and down the branches at the
inside. Odd that your brain completely accepted this it was only later I
realised that you can’t usually look inside a tree!
It was nice to
see the group of school children who were in interacting with the piece. The
favourite thing to do seemed to be to have your photograph taken looking down
the trunk!
