Fred Daniels : Cinema portraits

Small exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery of the work of Fred Daniels, a pioneer of British still and portrait photography.

The works were mainly form the 1940s and focused on his work with filmmakers filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger known as the Archers. Subjects included Vivien Leigh and Lesley Howard. I was particularly amused to see how attractive James Mason was when younger.
