Phantom

Small exhibition at the National Gallery by their artist in residence Alison Watt.

Taking her inspiration from drapery in pictures in the gallery she has produced a series of large canvases showing the folds of white material.

The scale of these pictures is very impressive and the images are calm and tranquil. The images are suggestive of other things without being obvious.
