The Pink Bear: Nature and Nurture

Fun pop-up installation in the window of 95 New Bond Street by Paul Robinson, known professionally as LUAP.

I came across this work on a day going around the Mayfair Galleries and it came as a breath of fresh air, an antidote both to the pretentiousness of some of the work I’d seen and the Christmas nonsense which was taking over the area. The work was part of a series depicting a pink teddy bear come-to-life and placed in the real world which evidently acts as “a metaphor for discovery and exploration”.

Whatever it means who can resist a life size pink bear waving from a shop window!
