Ruth Murray: Byron’s Pond

Beautiful exhibition at the Garden Museum of portraits by Ruth Murray.

These were large, striking pictures of women exploring the psychological impact of gardens as spaces of refuge and connection. They worked beautifully in the space.

I loved the two portraits of a woman looking into water from a boat and the wonderful texture of the tree branches and their reflections. I also liked the intense night scene of women in a greenhouse.
